Delivery
Every sculpture is wrapped generously in bubble wrap and packed into a box before it goes anywhere. They are heavy for their size and no two are the same, so each one is quoted for individually.
In Brighton & Hove
Delivered by hand, at no charge, at a time that suits you. It is the way Louise prefers — it means she can put it where it is going to live and make sure you are happy with it.
Elsewhere in the United Kingdom
Sent by insured courier. The cost depends on the size and weight of the piece, so it is quoted when you enquire rather than added at the end — that is what “plus postage and packaging” means on each sculpture.
Outside the United Kingdom
By arrangement. Write and ask, and Louise will find out what it would cost to send to you.
How long it takes
A finished piece is usually sent within a week of payment.
A commission takes six to eight weeks from the first conversation to the finished work — or about two weeks if you choose one of the sculptures already bisque fired and waiting for a glaze.
If it arrives damaged
Tell Louise as soon as you can and send photographs of the piece and the packaging. She will replace it or refund you — whichever you would rather.
If you change your mind
You have fourteen days from the day a sculpture reaches you to tell Louise you no longer want it, and a further fourteen days to send it back. She will refund you within fourteen days of it arriving, including what you originally paid for delivery.
It needs to come back as carefully packed as it arrived, and the cost of returning it is yours unless the piece was faulty.
This does not apply to a commission. A herd made to your own specification — your size, your glaze, your number of elephants — is outside the right to change your mind, because it could not reasonably be sold to anybody else.
