Privacy
Louise Dryden runs White Tusk Ceramics from Brighton & Hove, and is responsible for the handful of details this website collects. There are not many, and they go no further than they need to.
Nothing follows you around this site
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising. Nobody is counting your visit and no other company is watching you here. There is no banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.
When you write to Louise
The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message, and notes which sculpture you were looking at if you came from one. That is used to answer you and for nothing else.
It also asks how you heard about Louise. That one is optional, and it is only so she knows which of her adverts were worth the money.
The country your message was sent from is also recorded. That is only to tell a real message from an automated one — the form attracts a great deal of rubbish.
If you ask to hear about new pieces
Only if you tick the box. Louise keeps your name, your email address, the date, and a note of the words you agreed to, so that it is clear later what you were told. You can ask to stop at any time and she will not add you again by accident.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On servers run by Cloudflare, who host this website. Enquiries are kept for two years in case you write again about the same piece, and then deleted. Mailing list details are kept until you ask to stop.
When you send a message, a copy is emailed to Louise so she sees it straight away. That email is delivered by Resend, an email delivery service, which passes it on and does nothing else with it.
Your details are never sold, and never passed to anybody else.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see what Louise holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted altogether. Write to louise@whitetuskceramics.com and she will do it.
If you are ever unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
